Common use of DETERMINATION OF AUTHORITY Clause in Contracts

DETERMINATION OF AUTHORITY. If, in the sole discretion of the City Manager, it is determined that extreme civil emergency conditions exist per Illinois State Statutes, the provisions of this Agreement may be suspended by the City Manager during the time of the declared emergency. Should an emergency arise, the City Manager shall advise the local President of the Union or the next highest officer of the Union of the nature of the emergency.
