Director Duties and Responsibilities. The essential duties and responsibilities comprising the workload of Directors is to direct the work of a specific department or work group. In addition to these regular duties, Directors have a service and a professional development obligation. Recognizing that work in all three areas constitutes Director’s professional obligation to the University, these activities shall form the basis of consideration in developing workload assignments which are reasonable and equitable.
