Common use of Discipline for Cause – Relief Nurses Clause in Contracts

Discipline for Cause – Relief Nurses. Relief Nurses who have successfully completed the trial period of employment will not be disciplined except for just cause. Any discipline may be appealed by the Relief Nurse under the provisions of Section 28. Except in serious cases warranting immediate discharge or when the discharge involves a failure to maintain commitment, Relief Nurses discharged after the trial period of employment will receive two (2) weeks’ notice of discharge. The Relief Nurse will not be required to work during the notice period and is not eligible for pay in lieu of notice.
