Common use of Discounts – Prompt Payment Clause in Contracts

Discounts – Prompt Payment. The County of Orange shall process payments with discounts offered for prompt payment and the checks for those payments. If disputes arise over the timeliness of the payment, the date of the postmark shall be the determining factor. The County shall not be held responsible for delays by the US Postal Service, and no additional payment shall be due the Contractor in the event of such delay.
