Diver’s Tender Clause Samples
The Diver’s Tender clause defines the requirement for a support person, known as a tender, to assist a diver during underwater operations. This clause typically outlines the tender’s responsibilities, such as managing the diver’s lifeline, monitoring communications, and providing immediate assistance in case of emergencies. By specifying these duties, the clause ensures the diver’s safety and effective coordination during diving activities, thereby reducing operational risks and enhancing overall safety protocols.
Diver’s Tender. When a diver’s compressor cannot be placed within the immediate attendance of the tender, a competent person shall stand by the compressor while the diver is submerged. The tender shall at all times attend exclusively to the diver while he/she is submerged. Additional persons employed in the diving operation that are employed to perform tasks other than those identified in Clause 1 will be paid according to the tender’s rate as identified in Clause 1.
