Drawings and catalogues. The Tenderer must submit with his offer all the specification indicating rating, weights, and dimension and time current characteristics of the offered materials. Before the work is put in hand, dimensioned drawings and diagrams showing all details of the material, and materials to be used are to be submitted to the engineer for approval. No wiring or connection diagrams shall be submitted fir approval unless prior approval has been obtained for schematic diagrams, which are to include control and protection schematics showing the facilities being provided and the working of the schemes. The drawings are to be submitted in quadruplicate and as soon as possible after the commencement date of the contract, and in any case in sufficient time to permit modifications to be made, if such deemed necessary by the Engineer without delay in the delivery of the contract work. The drawings submitted are to be modified as necessary if requested by the Engineer and resubmitted for final approval. If the contractor requires urgent approval of any drawing to avoid delay in the delivery of the contract works, he is to advise the Engineer accordingly when submitting the drawing. One copy of each drawing and diagram shall be sent direct to the purchaser. It is to be understood, however, that approval of the drawings will not exonerate the contractor from any responsibility in connection with the work. After all items of material have been manufactured and accepted three 35mm negatives of each drawing previously approved is to be provided together with one reproducible on gauge polyester base film or similar and two prints on heavy gauge white paper from such drawings as may be required to show the detail and arrangement of the material as made.
