Dredging, when allowed. Dredging may be allowed for the following purposes when significant ecological impacts are minimized and mitigation is provided: A. Establishment, expansion, relocation or reconfiguration of navigation channels and basins where necessary for assuring safe and efficient accommodation of existing navigational uses. B. Maintenance dredging of established navigation channels and basins provided dredging is restricted to maintaining previously dredged and/or existing authorized location, depth, and width. C. An authorized water-dependent use. D. Development, expansion and maintenance of essential public facilities when there are no feasible alternatives. E. Maintenance of tidegates and tidegate drainage channels. F. Reduction of flood hazards when consistent with an approved flood hazard management plan. G. Restoration or enhancement of shoreline ecological functions and processes benefiting water quality and/or fish and wildlife habitat.
