Shift Allowances. (a) An Employee whilst on afternoon or night shift must be paid for such shift 15% more than the Employee’s ordinary rate. (b) An Employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue for at least five successive afternoons or nights must be paid for such shift at time and a half for the first two hours thereof and double time thereafter. (c) An Employee who: (i) during a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; (ii) remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or (iii) works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give the Employee at least one third of their working time off night shift in each shift cycle; must, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid 30% more than their ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift.

Shift Allowances. (a) An employee when on morning shift or when on afternoon shift or when on a night shift which rotates with or alternates with day work and/or afternoon shift will, in addition to the day work wage by this award prescribed for the work that they perform, be paid 20% of that day work wage.
Shift Allowances. Monday to Friday: The shift allowance rates and configuration of shifts are contained in Schedule 3. They are applicable on or after 7 October 2021 and will be updated administratively each year from the first pay period on or after 1 July.

Rotating night shift with day or afternoon shift. 42.5% Non-rotating night shift: A shift system in which night shifts are worked which do not rotate or alternate with another shift so as to give the Employee at least one third of the Employee’s working time off night shift in each roster cycle. 55% (c) Where an Employee is paid a shift penalty the Employee is not entitled to be paid overtime in addition to the shift penalties. (d) The shift penalties are calculated on the unaveraged rate of pay.
Shift Allowances. Personnel employed on shift after 4:00 p.m., or on Saturday, shall be paid twenty-eight ($.28) cents per hour, personnel employed after midnight shall be paid thirty-two ($.32) cents per hour for the duration of the period actually on shift. Only one (1) rate will be paid per shift worked and this rate will be that applying to the majority of hours worked.

Shift Allowances a) Shift Premiums • Shift work on Saturdays and Sundays: 50% of 95% of the Band B reference point rate per hour worked. • Shift work on statutory holidays: 95% of the Band B reference point rate per hour worked. The Statutory Holiday shift premium shall be paid on an actual hourly- as-worked basis.
Shift Allowances. (a) In addition to any other rates prescribed elsewhere in this Agreement Employees whose rostered hours of ordinary duty finish between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am or commence between 6.00 pm and 6.30 am shall be paid an amount equal to 2 1/2 per cent of the rate of the Allowance Rate as prescribed in clause 38 of this Agreement per rostered period of duty per rostered period of duty. (b) Provided that in the case of an Employee working on any rostered hours of ordinary duty, finishing on the day after commencing duty or commencing after midnight and before 5.00 a.m. he or she shall be paid a night duty allowance as set out in Schedule 2. (c) Provided that this clause shall not apply to Employees above the level of RPN 5.
