DS1 to DS3 Channelization requirements are essentially the same as defined in BellSouth Technical Reference 73501, LightGate® Service Interface and Performance Specifications. The asynchronous M13 multiplex format (combination of M12 and M23 formats) is specified for terminal equipment that multiplexes 28 DS1s into a DS3.
