Common use of DURATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE Clause in Contracts

DURATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 27.1 This Agreement shall be effective as of the first day of January 2012 and shall remain in full force and effect to and including the thirty-first day of December 2014 subject to the right on the part of the MPRB or the Federation to open this Agreement by written notice to the other Party not later than June 31, 2014. Failure to give such notice shall cause this Agreement to be renewed automatically for a period of twelve (12) months from year to year.
