Common use of Duration and modification of the Agreement Clause in Contracts

Duration and modification of the Agreement. This Agreement shall continue in force and effect from May to August and shall be renewed automatically thereafter for periods of one (1) year each unless either Party notifies the other in writing within the period of three (3) months before the Agreement ceases to operate that it desires to terminate this Agreement. Where notice to amend the Agreement is given, the provisions of this Agreement shall continue in force until a new Agreement is signed or the right to strike or lockout accrues, whichever first occurs.
