Duties and Responsibilities of the Tenure Review Committee. The general duties and responsibilities of the tenure review committee shall be to (a) evaluate the probationer, (b) advise him or her of strengths and weaknesses in performance, and (c) develop programs to overcome any weaknesses that he or she may have. The evaluation process shall place primary importance upon the probationer's effectiveness in his or her appointment. The committee shall be responsible for making recommendations to the appointing authority regarding renewal or non-renewal of the probationary faculty appointment and/or the granting of tenure.
