Common use of Duty to Protect Work Clause in Contracts

Duty to Protect Work. Should it become necessary to suspend the Work for an indefinite period, the Contractor shall at his own cost take every reasonable precaution to prevent damages or deterioration of the work performed. If the Work is suspended pursuant to Paragraph 16.02, the costs incurred for the protection of the Work shall be added to the Contract Sum by Change Order.
