The MCO shall use the Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) and Security Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) standards for digital signing and encryption of e-mail communications to the STATE about Enrollees that contain Private Health Information. The MCO may also communicate with the STATE using MN-ITS or request that the STATE initiate a secure e-mail exchange.
