Education Assistants Committee. a) The Parties agree to continue the Education Assistants Committee charged with the responsibility of investigating and making recommendations regarding possibilities for the creation of whole Education Assistant jobs, and for the deployment of Education Assistant staff in accordance with recognized best practices. b) The Parties agree the Committee will engage with the Ministry of Education around the development and implementation of a system of recognized credentials and qualifications to regulate the employment of Education Assistants. c) The Parties agree the Committee shall consist of not more than 8 representatives appointed by Support Staff unions and not more than 8 representatives appointed by BCPSEA. d) The Parties agree the Committee will be resourced with a budget fixed by SSEAC and drawn from SSEAC funds to accomplish its work. e) The Parties agree the work of the Committee will recommence within one year of the ratification of the framework agreement. f) The Parties agree that the Committee will complete its work and report its findings to the Parties.
