Effect of Promotion, Demotion or Transfer on Salaries. a) Promotion 1. For a promotion of less than ten percent (10%) the salary shall be adjusted to the step in the new range which provides for a corresponding percentage increase in salary. 2. For a promotion of ten percent (10%) or more the salary shall be adjusted to the step in the new range which provides for ten percent (10%) increase in salary or to the first step in the new range, whichever is greater. Any other promotion will be in accordance with regular County procedure.
