Common use of Effective Date of Notice Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of Notice. Except in relation to Change Orders as provided for in Section 12.1 or as otherwise provided by law, any demand upon or notice required or permitted to be given by one Party to the other Party shall be effective: (a) on personal delivery, (b) on the succeeding business day after mailing by certified or registered U.S. Mail, return receipt requested, (c) on the succeeding business day after mailing by Express Mail or after deposit with a private delivery service of general use (e.g., Federal Express) postage or fee prepaid as appropriate, or (d) upon successful transmission of facsimile.
