Common use of Effective Date of Notice Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of Notice. Notices personally delivered shall be deemed effective upon delivery; notices sent by certified or registered mail shall be deemed effective upon the earlier of (i) the date of receipt or rejection by the addressee, or (ii) three (3) days following the date of mailing (excluding Sundays and holidays on which mail is not delivered by the United States Postal Service). Notwithstanding the foregoing, any notice pertaining to a change of address of a party shall be deemed effective only upon receipt or rejection by the party to whom such notice is sent.
