Common use of Effective Date of Notice Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of Notice. Any Notice shall become effective from the date when such Notice is received by the BUYER or by the SELLER except as otherwise described in the Contract. Notices shall be deemed to be received by the addressee when delivered (in case of personal delivery), within 7 (seven) days of dispatch (if sent by registered airmail postage prepaid) and when dispatched (in case of telex or fax) as proven by answer back call sign or transmission report. Any such Notice received on a non-working day or after business hours in the place of receipt shall be deemed to be received on the next following working day in such place.
