Common use of EFFECTIVE DATE OF PROMOTION Clause in Contracts

EFFECTIVE DATE OF PROMOTION. A promotion shall normally become effective on but not later than July 1 of a given year providing that: 20.04.1 the promotion is recommended by the STP Committee on or before the preceding March 31, or considered by the STP Committee before March 31 and subsequently recommended by the Appeal Committee; and, 20.04.2 the promotion is recommended by the President and ratified by the Board.
