Common use of Effective Date of the Agreement Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of the Agreement. The effective date of the agreement shall be the date the Contract is executed by the parties. The Contractor shall provide all required payment and performance bonds and insurances to the City within ten (10) Calendar days following the City Commission approval. Upon verification of all bonds and insurances, the City will issue a written notice to proceed (NTP) to the Contractor. Contract time will commence on the date when the Notice to Proceed is issued. The Contractor shall commence the work immediately upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Failure of the contractor to proceed with the Work agreed upon within each executed Task Order will constitute nonperformance of the Contractor and would be grounds for termination of the contract per ARTICLE 17 of the Agreement.
