Electrical Conductors, Switches, Receptacles, and Fixtures. All electrical conductors, switches, fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, panels and service entrances should operate as intended and the Builder shall repair or replace defective wiring, switches, fixtures and outlets. It should be noted that all outside outlets, kitchen outlets, garage outlets and bathroom outlets are required by code to be protected by a ground fault. Sometimes these outlets are tripped and a circuit is broken. This is not a defect. The Homeowner should check the ground fault circuit and determine if it has been tripped before notifying the Builder of a suspected defect.

  • Electrical Safety Only UL approved items are permitted in Housing & Residence Life. Extension and multi-use cords must be heavy duty, single plug, and be UL approved. Altering or adapting electrical outlets and equipment and overloading circuits jeopardize safety and thus are not permitted.

  • Underground Facilities All underground pipelines, conduits, ducts, cables, wires, manholes, vaults, tanks, tunnels, or other such facilities or attachments, and any encasements containing such facilities, including without limitation those that convey electricity, gases, steam, liquid petroleum products, telephone or other communications, cable television, water, wastewater, storm water, other liquids or chemicals, or traffic or other control systems.

  • Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure nondiscrimination in the administration of this contract.
