Masonry Fireplaces, Not gas, if applicable. Newly built fireplaces will often incur slight amounts of separation, not to exceed one-half inch (1/2”) in a ten (10) foot measurement, from the main structure. The Builder will determine the cause of separation and correct as required. Caulking as a repair tool is acceptable. Discoloration of the firebox or brick is the normal result of use and requires no corrective action. Mortar style fireplaces may develop cracks due to temperature changes and other factors which shall not be deemed a defect.

Termination of performance is Contractor’s only remedy if H-GAC does not approve the price increase. H-GAC reserves the right to accept or reject any price change request.
