Electronic Check Conversion/ Electronic Returned Check Charge. You may authorize a merchant or other payee to make a one-time electronic payment from your checking account using information from your check to pay for purchases or pay bills or initiate an electronic funds transfer to collect a charge in the event a check or draft is returned for insufficient funds. You are considered to have authorized these electronic fund transfers if you complete the transaction after being told (orally or by posted notice or notice sent to you) that the transfer may be processed electronically or if you sign a written authorization.
