Electronic Government Clause Samples
The 'Electronic Government' clause establishes the framework for conducting official government business and communications through electronic means. It typically outlines the acceptable forms of electronic communication, such as email or secure online portals, and may specify requirements for authentication, record-keeping, and data security. By formalizing the use of electronic processes, this clause ensures efficiency, legal validity, and clarity in government transactions, reducing reliance on paper-based methods and streamlining administrative procedures.
Electronic Government. “Electronic (e)-Government” is about using new technology to support different methods of service delivery. Customers can choose to deal with the Council by telephone, face-to-face or the internet. Using electronic methods can enable services to be provided more effectively and efficiently and we will continue to explore opportunities for doing so. We need capable and committed people – Councillors and employees – to be responsive in providing services to the communities of North Ayrshire. The Council recognises that its reputation is largely shaped by the perceptions of people engaging with our employees. Our workforce strategy aims to support and enhance that contact by ensuring we recruit people with appropriate skills. Targeted training and development will help equip our 30 Councillors and over 7,000 employees with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges that lie ahead. We will also aim to promote the Council as a good employer and ensure that our employees are well informed of developments affecting the Council.
