Electronic Transaction Requirements. Provider may submit claims and encounter data to Health Plan electronically. Providers shall (a) follow the requirements for electronic data interchange in accordance with the current HIPAA Administrative Simplification transaction standards and WellCare Companion Guide, and (b) submit all claims and encounter data either through a clearinghouse used by Health Plan or directly to Health Plan in accordance with the WellCare Companion Guide.
