Common use of Eligibility to work in the Netherlands and the European Union Clause in Contracts

Eligibility to work in the Netherlands and the European Union. This offer of employment is subject to you successfully completing your on-line pre-employment assessment and achieving the required pass xxxx. You are required to complete and pass the assessment before you report for initial Cabin Crew training; the deadline for passing will be communicated to you via email by the Training Department. You will require access to the internet in order to complete the online pre-employment assessment via our easyJet portal; and you will be notified of your individual log-in shortly. Failure to complete and pass the pre-employment assessment by the communicated deadline will result in your conditional offer of employment being withdrawn. Your appointment is subject to you successfully completing your initial training course and continuing to meet our minimum entry requirements. From the commencement of employment you will be on probation for two months. This contract will automatically terminate on the indicated end date in paragraph 1 unless any amendments supersede those conditions. This offer is also conditional upon you being eligible to work in the Netherlands and the European Union and of you being able to prove your eligibility on a continuing basis. You will need to show us your original passport and/or other original documents as set out below (which we will then copy and return to you). If you can produce a for 9 months valid, original passport showing that you are either (i) a Dutch Citizen; (ii) a citizen from a country within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or Switzerland; or a valid, original residence permit/registration certificate issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service ("IND") certifying permanent residence of an EEA country or Switzerland which gives you the right to work or your passport from a non-EEA country which gives you the right to work within the Netherlands and the European Union; you will not be required to provide any other documentation. If you are a holder of a Romanian or Bulgarian passport (“A2 worker”), you will be required to apply to the IND for permission to work before you start working with us. Proof of such permission will usually be in the form of an Accession Worker Card. If you are exempt from this scheme, you will need to be able to demonstrate why you are so exempt.
