EMAIL, INTRANET AND INTERNET POLICY. 6.3.1 Unless otherwise advised by the Employer, no Employee may use the computers provided by the Employer. 6.3.2 If an Employee is authorised to use computers: 6.3.2.1 they may be used for business purposes only; 6.3.2.2 all electronic information stored or used during the course of the Employee’s employment may be accessed by the Employer; 6.3.2.3 the Employee must comply with all systems established by the Employer with regard to the internet, intranet or email use and protection from computer viruses; 6.3.2.4 Email, intranet and internet services are to be used solely for business purposes; 6.3.2.5 internet, intranet and email messages conducted during work hours (excluding break times) remain the property of the Employer who may intercept and review them at any time; 6.3.2.6 non-business email, intranet and internet use is prohibited; 6.3.2.7 the sending or transmission of explicit material or matter that could be considered offensive or defamatory is strictly prohibited under any circumstances; 6.3.2.8 the Employer may utilise email content security systems which scrutinise the content of email messages. Any activity reports produced by such systems may be used by the Employer for any legitimate employment purposes; 6.3.2.9 prior to termination of employment for any reason the Employee may not destroy any files without the prior consent of the Employer and must provide to the General Manager all passwords used by the Employee.
