Emergency Alert. Any Emergency Alert System (“EAS”) provided by Grantee shall be operated in accordance with FCC regulations. Any use of such EAS by the Franchising Authority will be only in accordance with the applicable state and local plans as approved in accordance with such FCC regulations. Except to the extent expressly prohibited by law, the Franchising Authority will hold the Grantee, its employees, officers and assigns harmless from any claims arising out of use of the EAS, including but not limited to reasonable attorneysfees and costs.

Emergency Alert. Franchisee shall comply with the requirements of the Federal emergency alert system as specified by the FCC (47 CFR Part 11.1, et seq.)
Emergency Alert. Grantee shall provide an operating emergency alert system in accordance with and at the time required by the provisions of State and federal laws, including FCC regulations.

Emergency Alert. 30.3.1. The Franchisee shall provide an all-channel audio-only emergency alert system for use by the Town. Emergency messages shall be able to be initiated by any designated Town official from any touch-tone phone with an access code. 30.3.1.1. The Franchisee agrees to upgrade the emergency alert system throughout the term of the franchise in accord with FCC requirements. 30.3.1.2. The Franchisee shall periodically test the emergency alert system as the Town may reasonably require. 30.3.1.3. The Franchisee shall periodically test the emergency alert system as required by Federal law.
Emergency Alert. Franchisee shall comply with the requirements of the Federal emergency alert system as specified by the FCC (47 CFR Part 11.1, et seq.). Franchisee will provide a telephone contact list whereby the Town may call Franchisee to activate a local Emergency Alert to be initiated by the Town and activated by Franchisee within ten minutes. The person(s) responsible for activating the alert on behalf of the Town shall be provided to Franchisee in writing, which may be changed by written notice from time to time by Town.

Emergency Alert. Franchisee shall continue to provide an all-channel, local emergency alert system for use by the City if the City has filed all necessary plans required by state and federal emergency management agencies. Emergency messages can be initiated from any touch-tone phone with an access code. The emergency alert service shall be upgraded throughout the Franchise term as set forth in FCC rules, regulations, or guidelines. The Franchisee shall not be held responsible for any failure of the emergency alert system to operate during any emergency.
Emergency Alert. Grantee shall install emergency alert equipment capable of transmitting audio and video messages on all channels. Grantee and the County shall, in a timely manner, establish mutually acceptable procedures and protocols for the use of these facilities, including, but not necessarily limited to their use for the dissemination of local government emergency announcements.

After July 1,1997, the cable system shall use a common EAS protocol, as defined in Section 11.31 in the Code of Federal Regulations, to send and receive emergency alerts in accordance with the following: Two tone signal from storage device Required, 8 to 25 seconds in duration Digital encoder and decoder Required The digital encoder and decoder shall provide: (1) a video message on all channels or other alerting techniques to the hearing impaired and deaf subscribers, (2) an audio message and video interruption on all channels, (3) a video message on at least one channel to all subscribers
