Emergency Department Staffing Pool. 1. The employer will designate a staffing pool comprised of short hour and on-call employees for staffing the Emergency Departments. Orientation will be based on skills assessment and experience level. 2. Staffing pool employees will be required to be available for eight (8) shifts per month based upon department need. Availability of shifts will be posted for regular and on-call employees. Of the eight (8) shifts, three (3) must include weekend shifts, two (2) evenings and two (2) night shifts must be included in the eight (8) available shifts.
