EMPLOYEE AND ASSOCIATION RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES. 4.1 Employees shall have the right to self-organization for mutual protection, to form, join or assist the Association or to refrain from such activity, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing. 4.2 Employees shall not be subject to discriminatory treatment. 4.3 Employees shall not be subject to retaliation as a result of exercising any rights under this agreement. 4.4 The employee shall observe all rules to maintain student discipline and shall have the right to take whatever action he/she feels necessary to maintain student discipline within the bounds of the Board policies, state statutes and local school policies. The Board shall give support and/or assistance to an employee action in line of duty with respect to maintenance of control of discipline in the classroom or any other school activity. 4.5 An employee may use such force as necessary in protection from attack or to prevent injury to students and/or school personnel.
