Payroll Deductions. An employee shall be entitled to have deductions from her salary assigned for the purchase of Canada Savings Bonds.

In addition to the monthly dues deductions authorized in Article 4 of this Agreement, bargaining unit members shall be allowed to authorize management to deduct from their pay checks such amounts that they desire in order to participate in programs approved by the State Auditor.

In the event the monthly excess stated above is not an even amount (i.e., Divisible by two (2)), the member shall pay two (2) equal amounts not to exceed the monthly excess, and the City will pay the monthly amount listed above plus the balance owed one cent ($.01).

Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the Board shall deduct from the teacher's salary and make the appropriate remittance for plans or programs such as credit union, savings bonds, United Fund, tax sheltered annuities, MEA auto insurance, Flexible Spending Account, or other such plans as are jointly approved by the Association and the Business Manager.
