Common use of EMPLOYEE ELECTED TO UNION OFFICE Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEE ELECTED TO UNION OFFICE. (a) The Company shall grant an unpaid leave of absence to Employees requesting leaves for Union business or to fill an elected Union position in accordance with Article 8. (b) A request for such an approved leave must be given to the Company by the Union, in writing, on Union Letter head and (c) The Company will not unreasonably refuse to grant leave under this Article if such leave is requested with a minimum notification of five (5) working days prior to the date of leave.

EMPLOYEE ELECTED TO UNION OFFICE. (a) The Company shall grant an unpaid leave of absence to Employees requesting leaves an employee who is appointed or elected to a Union office for Union business or a period of up to fill an elected Union position in accordance with Article 8and including one (1) year. (b) A request for such an approved leave must be given to the Company by the Union, in writing, on union letterhead and signed by the representative of the Union Letter head andtwo weeks prior to said leave. (c) The Company will is not unreasonably refuse obligated to grant leave under this Article if such leave is requested with to more than one (1) employee at a minimum notification of five (5) working days prior to the date of leavetime.
