Employment Obligation. (a) All new employees will be required, at the unit chief’s discretion, to undergo a period of orientation at a mutually agreeable time before being allowed to work shifts on car. Such orientation will be with pay at the appropriate rates as laid out in Schedule E8.00 and may consist of orientation on or off car. (b) There is no obligation on the Employer to offer work to an On-call employee until the On-call employee has been employed for a period of three (3) months from the date of issuance of their employee number.
