Common use of Employment Suspension Clause in Contracts

Employment Suspension. An employee is suspended from Active employment except that in the case of a member who becomes disabled prior to being placed on suspension, he will continue to be entitled to income benefits until assessed as fit to return to active employment. If an employee becomes disabled during such period of suspension, he will be entitled to receive income benefits from the plan commencing on the 31st day from the date he is scheduled to return to active employment.
