Encounter Data Quality Assurance Protocol. ‌ The MCO shall participate in a quality assurance protocol that verifies timeliness, completeness, accuracy and consistency of encounter data that is submitted to the STATE. The STATE has developed quality assurance protocols for the program, in consultation with the MCOs which will be evaluated by an independent third party auditor for the capacity to ensure complete and accurate data and to evaluate the STATE’s implementation of the protocols.
