Common use of Engagement of Research Assistant Clause in Contracts

Engagement of Research Assistant. The Research Institute agrees to secure the Research Assistant if the Principal Investigator requests. The Research Assistant shall not be considered or treated as employees of JST, rather, the Research Institute shall treat each such Research Assistant as its own employee. Costs of employing the Research Assistant, including applicable taxes and benefits, can be allocated as a part of Direct Costs in accordance with Article 5, and shall be reported to JST in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
