Entry Criteria. An employee who has satisfactorily met the requirements of level 5 and has attained AQF level 2 under the certificate of food processing or equivalent training and experience in the Dairy/Food manufacturing Industry and who through assessment or appropriate qualifications is capable of meeting the requirements of level 6. An employee at level 6 must be able to operate regularly within all areas of the plant. Any new employee must be deemed by the employer to be able to perform work at level 6. Laboratory employees have completed a certificate 3 in Laboratory Skills or had industry experience equivalent to the requirements of this position Description: Work easily without supervision with general guidance on progress and outcomes sort. Have a sound/detailed working knowledge of the production or laboratory process. Assist in the provision of on the job training and facilitation for employees at levels 1-5. Operate flexibly between workstations when required. Identify and correct problems subject to company guidelines and without supervision. The work of others may be supervised or teams guided. Responsibility for the planning and management of the work of others may be involved. Assist management in the decision making process. Dairy Factory Employee Level 5 or relevant dairy/food manufacturing industry experience. (Year 11/12 for Laboratory positions). In many of the positions at this level, forklift driving accreditation is required. Food Safety: (CIP, HACCP, FPA, GMP, Critical Hygiene, etc) ▪ Contribute & adhere to the company’s & statutory Food Safety policy and practices. ▪ Responsible for compliance to Food Safety practices. Quality: (Right first time, Adherence to specifications, ISO compliance, etc) ▪ Adherence to the company’s Quality policy and practices. ▪ Understanding Quality targets & impacts of non compliance. ▪ Carry out quality tests. Yields/KPIs: (Scrap factor, Bill of Materials, OEE, Attainments, Productivity etc) ▪ Plan activities to ensure production requirements and product specifications are met. ▪ Interaction with other departments to ensure productivity, attainments & OEE is achieved Plant Operation/Laboratory Operations: ▪ Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, cleaning & maintenance schedules. ▪ Can operate a number of pieces of equipment including dismantle/re-assemble. ▪ Will be required to operate computerised process control. ▪ Understand and undertake the calibration and maintenance of test equipment (laboratory) ▪ Undertake extensive testing in a full range of fields (laboratory) ▪ Produce reliable and accurate test results (laboratory) Documentation: ▪ Advanced recording requirements (written & keyboard). ▪ Advanced inventory & monitoring control. ▪ Write up procedures relating to plant operation/laboratory operations Continuous Improvement:(MIT) ▪ Participation in company’s manufacturing improvement programs ▪ Demonstrate an awareness of, and a commitment to, ongoing self development.
