Common use of Entry Into Force, Extension and Termination Clause in Contracts

Entry Into Force, Extension and Termination. 1. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date on which the two Governments notify each other that their respective constitutional formalities for the entry into force of international agreements have been completed. It shall remain in force for an initial period of five years from the date of notification and, if not terminated, shall be renewed automatically for consecutive periods of two years. Either Contracting Party may terminate this Agreement by giving written notice at least six months before the date of expiry. 2. In the event of termination, the provision of articles 1 to 11 of this Agreement shall continue to apply for a period of five years to investments made before the official notice of termination.

It shall remain in force for an initial period of five years from the date of after its notification and, if not terminatedby tacit renewal, shall be renewed automatically for consecutive periods of two yearsfive years unless the Agreement is denounced. 2. Either Contracting Each Party may terminate denounce this Agreement by giving a written notice notification, done at least six months before the date of expiryits expiration. 23. In the event of terminationa denounciation, the provision of articles 1 to 11 provisions of this Agreement shall continue to apply to investments made before the date of its termination, for a period of five years to investments made before the official notice of terminationyears.
