ESS. 2 PLCs per week – dedicated to case management for ESS • Allocate 5 subs per building per year for the purposes of staffings. • The District will pay each ESS teacher up to an optional 8 hours per year at the PD hourly rate – to provide additional time for case management on non-working Fridays. Teachers will work from their buildings and will punch in. • The District will establish minimum standard criteria for daily lesson plans. • Building leaders will collaborate with building leadership teams and teachers to develop building specific daily lesson plan expectations to include district criteria. « Buildings will also determine how and when daily lesson plans are made available. • Schools will schedule PLC time throughout the year for collaborative team lesson planning. • The District will offer optional time management training for teachers. « This training will include tools and resources to help employees with time management. • The District will clarify appropriate agenda topics for daily PLCs with K-12 school leadership prior to the start of school. • Building principals will include teacher input as they determine school specific priorities. • PEA will be invited to partner in planning for the teacher induction program. • The District will utilize data from the new teacher survey to work on how best to support new teachers. • Experienced educators new to the District will have some opportunity to select options outside of the mandatory training that is required. • New educators hired after the start of school will be paid to complete required new educator training. (up to 8 hours) • The District will work with community partners to offer possible training to new teachers. • PEA and the District will work together to create a list of Community information and resources that the District will communicate on the HR website.
