Common use of Essential Security Clause in Contracts

Essential Security. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed: (a) to require a Party to furnish or allow access to any information the disclosure of which it determines to be contrary to its essential security interests; or (b) to preclude a Party from applying measures that it considers necessary for the fulfillment of its obligations with respect to the maintenance or restoration of international peace or security, or the protection of its own essential security interests.

Essential Security. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed: (a) to require a Party to furnish or allow access to any information the disclosure of which it determines to be contrary to its essential security interests; or (b) to preclude a Party from applying measures that it considers necessary for the fulfillment of its obligations under the United Nations Charter with respect to the maintenance or restoration of international peace or security, or for the protection of its own essential security interests, or in order to carry out obligations it has accepted for the purposes of maintaining international security.

Nothing in this Agreement shall be construedconstrued to: (a) to require a Party to furnish or allow access to any information the disclosure of which it determines to be contrary to its essential security interests; or (b) to preclude a Party from applying measures that it considers in good faith necessary for the fulfillment of its obligations under the United Nations Charter with respect to the maintenance or restoration of international peace or security, or the protection of its own essential security interests.

Essential Security. Nothing in In this Agreement shall be construedconstrued to: (a) to require compel a Party to furnish provide or allow give access to any information the disclosure of which it determines to be considers contrary to its essential security interests; or, (b) to preclude prevent a Party from applying measures that any measure it considers necessary for the fulfillment protection of its essential security interests, as well as for the fulfilment of its obligations under the Charter of the United Nations with respect to the maintenance or and restoration of international peace or and security, or the protection of its own essential security interests.
