Evaluation Observation Sample Clauses

Evaluation Observation. Employees in the Teacher 1-4, Teaching Coordinator and Teacher, Deaf or Blind School classification titles, while serving a probationary period following any original appointment, shall be observed by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, and/or Assistant Principal no less than one (1) time in each half of the probationary period for a consecutive period of not less than twenty (20) minutes. The Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, and/or Assistant Principal, shall discuss the classroom observation with the employee at a post- observation conference. Employees who have completed probationary period shall be observed no less than one (1) time in a calendar year for a consecutive period of not less than twenty (20) minutes. The evaluator shall discuss the classroom observation with the employee at a post-observation conference.
Evaluation Observation. Instructional teachers, as defined by Ohio Revised Code section 3319.111 shall be evaluated in accordance with the Board adopted evaluation policy, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A. The Board agrees that it will not adopt any amendments to the Board adopted evaluation policy that is in place as of the effective date of this Collective Bargaining Agreement unless the Evaluation Committee established under the Board adopted evaluation policy has first met to consider the proposed amendments to the policy.

Evaluation Observation. A. Evaluation of unit members shall be conducted in accordance with the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) plan which is hereby deemed inter alia to this Agreement. B. All monitoring of the work performance of the teaching staff shall be done openly with full knowledge of the teacher involved. C. Probationary teachers will receive at least four (4) formal observations each year. Tenured teachers will receive one (1) formal observation and one (1) informal observation. In the event there is a need for additional observations, such observations should have written suggestions, as further discussed below, for improvement and shall be spaced at least one (1) month apart to allow the teacher time to implement such change. 1. Formal Observations will include the following elements: a. A Pre-Observation conference at a designated time. At the pre-conference the teacher will provide an overview of the lesson to be observed in order to establish the focus of the observation, (as per pages 5-8 of the Teacher Evaluation and Development System (XXX). b. A Post-Observation Conference will be held within five (5) school days of the Observation. A performance review outline will be presented and discussed, as well the material per page 18 of XXX. c. A Performance Review Narrative will be written by the supervisor/evaluator after each Observation based upon what was seen and discerned. It will be presented to the teacher within four (4) weeks of the Observation for a conference between the teacher and the evaluator. d. Upon request of the teacher, an additional conference may be held for additional clarification and discussion of the teacher's concerns. 2. Informal Observations will include the following elements: a. An Informal Observation may be announced, with or without a pre-conference , or unannounced, at the discretion of the supervisor/evaluator. b. The lesson must be observed for at least twenty (20) minutes. c. There will not be a formal written document produced by the supervisor/evaluator. The teacher will not be required to submit or produce any XXX materials. At the discretion of the supervisor/evaluator a post-Observation meeting may occur with five (5) school days of the Observation. If the teacher requests a conference, the supervisor/evaluator will consider the teacher's request in determining if such conference is necessary. d.   • Observations The Evaluator’s first observation of the Educator should take place by November 15. Observations required by the Educator Plan should be completed by May 15th. The Evaluator may conduct additional observations after this date. The Evaluator is not required nor expected to review all the indicators in a rubric during an observation.
