Exempt Appointments Clause Samples
The Exempt Appointments clause defines positions or roles within an organization that are not subject to standard employment rules or protections, such as those related to hiring, termination, or benefits. Typically, this clause applies to high-level executives, temporary consultants, or specialized roles that require flexibility outside of regular employment policies. Its core function is to provide the organization with the ability to appoint individuals to certain roles without being bound by the usual constraints, thereby allowing for greater operational flexibility and responsiveness to unique staffing needs.
Exempt Appointments. Time spent by employees working in exempt positions will not be considered a break in service. In the event that an employee returns to a bargaining unit position, the employee’s seniority date will be adjusted by the period of time the employee spent in an exempt position(s).
