Exemptions from Transfers. (a)(i) In effecting transfers, the Director of Education or designate shall give reasonable consideration to a request for a transfer exemption by a teacher, if the teacher has submitted to the Director of Education or designate a letter stating an intent to retire to a pension pursuant to the Teachers’ Pension Plan within the next three academic years. Where such an exemption has been granted, there shall be no extensions of this provision in the event that the teacher does not retire upon the date of notification that had been provided to the Board under this Article.
