EXTENSION OF LEAVE AND SALARY CONTINUANCE. If a unit employee's temporary disability exceeds the six (6) calendar months of salary continuance set forth above, the City may extend this salary continuance for up to an additional six (6) months if the unit employee is not otherwise eligible for retirement, light or modified duty or disability transfer and with the approval of the City Manager.

EXTENSION OF LEAVE AND SALARY CONTINUANCE. If a unit employee's temporary disability exceeds the six (6) calendar months of salary continuance as set forth above, the City may extend this salary continuance for up to an additional six (6) months months, with the approval of the City Manager, if the unit employee is not otherwise eligible for retirement, light or modified duty or disability transfer transfer, and the Risk Management Division, after consultation with the approval of City's Physician(s), determines that the City Manageremployee will likely return to full duty within a reasonable period not to exceed six (6)months.
