Common use of Extensions for Unavoidable Delays Clause in Contracts

Extensions for Unavoidable Delays. For any delay that may result from causes that could not be avoided or controlled by Contractor, Contractor shall, upon timely written application, be entitled to issuance of a Change Order providing for an extension of the Contract Time for a period of time equal to the delay resulting from such unavoidable cause. No extension of the Contract Time shall be allowed for any other delay in completion of the Work.
