The External Affiliations clause defines the rules and disclosures required regarding a party’s relationships with outside organizations, entities, or individuals that may be relevant to the agreement. Typically, this clause requires parties to declare any existing or potential affiliations that could create conflicts of interest or influence their obligations under the contract. By mandating transparency about such connections, the clause helps prevent conflicts of interest and ensures that all parties are aware of any external factors that could impact the agreement’s execution.
External Affiliations. (a) All decisions concerning affiliations by HASU to external organisations shall be recorded formally in the Minutes of appropriate meetings as specified in the schedules and Constitution.
(b) HASU shall also include the above details of affiliations within their proposed budget that is presented to the Board of Governors for consideration and if appropriate, approval.
(c) HASU shall make provision for consideration of continued affiliation to particular organisations in accordance with the specific requirements of section 22(2)(1) of the Education Act 1994
External Affiliations. While employed at Boricua College, faculty members may seek public office if the candidacy will not interfere with their normal duties or present a conflict of interest. Before a faculty member announces for public office, the President must approve the candidacy. If the President determines that the candidacy would interfere with the faculty member’s normal duties, the President may require the faculty member to take leave without pay or resign before announcing for office.
External Affiliations. 10.1 The University requires the Union to maintain a record of all affiliations by the Union to external bodies, and to publish an Annual Report with details of subscriptions or fees paid by the Union.
10.2 The Union shall make provision for an annual review of continued affiliation to particular organisations in accordance with the requirements of the Education Act 1994 (section 22(2)(1)).
