Hours and Attendance. In keeping with the experience of workplace life, students will generally keep the same hours as their accompanying salaried staff. This might mean that, in some weeks, students may work additional hours. However, over the duration of the placement the total hours worked should not exceed the Organisation’s standard hours. Prior approval is required from the University if the student is required, or wishes, to work in excess of the Organisation’s standard hours.
Hours and Attendance. Boricua College’s academic hours are daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday as scheduled each academic cycle. Educational Facilitators are required to be present at least 7 hours per day at their assigned campus, Monday through Thursday and a minimum of two hours on Friday. If Educational Facilitators anticipate being late or absent, they are required to inform their immediate Senior Academic Administrator to allow for proper academic arrangements so that students do not suffer. Be aware this is an evening college. Boricua College’s students are primarily evening students. Each Facilitator may keep a record of each student’s attendance which can determine the awarding of their financial aid. Educational Facilitators are required to sign in and make-up any missed sessions of their Individualized Instruction, Colloquium, and Experiential Studies courses. Friday evenings and Saturdays are available for make- ups. The make-up schedule must be written up as a memorandum to the relevant Senior Academic Administrator.
Hours and Attendance. Students are required to attend on the first day of their course at the time stated by the Administrator. Failure to attend the first day of the course will preclude you from attending any further part of that course, and you will not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid. You must attend all the classes, no more than 2 classes are allowed to be missed without a Doctors note. Classes will commence promptly at the discussed times, irrespective of whether all students are present. Classes will not be delayed due to latecomers, and lectures are not responsible for repeating work missed. Class times may vary at the discretion of the Administrator with prior notice to the students The school will be closed on South African public holidays. If a public holiday falls during the course, extra day/days will be added to the course
Hours and Attendance. Section A. Work Schedules The City’s standard working schedule week consists of forty (40) hours within a seven (7) day work week with one hour or one-half hour lunch break depending on the schedule assigned by the employee’s Department Director. The Department Director shall also have the authority to schedule different start and end times for employee work shifts and/or for the work schedules set forth herein at the request of the employee, which terms must be confirmed in writing and documented in the employee’s personnel file. The work week begins at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday with the following work schedule: The following alternative work schedules are optional and at the discretion of the Department Director. Additional alternate schedules may be approved for staffing levels upon approval of the Department Director and City Manager: The work week for employees working a 9/80 work schedule shall begin exactly four hours into their eight-hour shift on the day of the week which constitutes their alternating regular day off. Employees can request on occasion to switch their Friday’s off, but such switch must be confirmed in writing by the Department Director, including any overtime incurred as a result of the switch being made by an hourly employee. Any employee incurring overtime as a result of such switch, must properly report the overtime and be paid for the overtime.
