Externally Funded Appointments Sample Clauses

The Externally-Funded Appointments clause defines the terms under which an individual may hold a position or appointment that is financially supported by sources outside the primary organization, such as grants, contracts, or third-party sponsors. Typically, this clause outlines the requirements for approval, the responsibilities of the appointee, and any reporting or compliance obligations related to the external funding. Its core practical function is to ensure transparency and proper oversight of appointments funded by external entities, thereby managing potential conflicts of interest and ensuring that all parties understand their obligations.
