Common use of Extra Duty Activities Clause in Contracts

Extra Duty Activities. 1. Extra duty activities are assignments outside the teacher’s work day and are set forth in 6 below. All such assignments shall be voluntary. 2. All extra duty activities shall be covered by school insurance as set forth in the specific policies. 3. At the beginning of the school year, teachers who volunteer for extra duty work assignments shall be issued a pass for activities at their school and/or for activities at a school in which they are assigned to work. Such teachers shall have consideration for league passes. 4. Volunteers may request a specific assignment and consideration shall be given such request. 5. Xxxxxxx employees that have extra duty assignments as set forth in 6 below shall be paid $10.00 for each hour they are required to be on duty. Non-employees who have extra duty assignments as set forth in 6 below shall be paid $8.00 for each hour they are required to be on duty. (Hours may be split into fifteen (15) minute intervals and compensation paid to the closest interval beyond what the teacher has worked.) Such pay shall be included in monthly payroll, provided the appropriate payroll reporting forms are received in the business office on time. No teacher will be required to work longer than three (3) hours per event, unless there is mutual agreement for additional time. 6. Extra duty work assignments for compensation may be allowed with the approval of the building principal and/or the superintendent. 7. Compensation for extra duty work assignments or compensation for supplemental assignments do not preclude the assignment of teachers to other non specified assignments which are a normal part of the school program or within the scope of the school’s responsibility. 8. Teachers and coaches that take training that is related to or is required for their duty or supplemental assignment will be eligible for PDC points, such as CPR or first-aid training. 9. Drivers Education teachers will be approved by the building principal.
